Discuss realtime system testing

Real-time system tests are all about timing.  They are often performed in near production environments on cross-platform solutions where timing between components is critical to the successful operation of the system under test. When testing real-time systems, one must pay particular attention to two important facts. First, it is not sufficient to check whether the system produces the correct outputs;  the timing of the outputs must also be correct. Second, the timing of the inputs determines which outputs will be produced as well as the timing of these outputs. Testing real-time systems must also take into account any events that are initiated by the system without human input.
