New Features in 9i are1. Multiple table inserts using a single statement2. Multilevel collections. ie. a nested table can be used in a nested table3. Case Expression - it's a extended form of decode4. Merge Statement5. Online index rebuild6. Online table rebuild7. Bitmap Join Index8. Renaming of Columns and constraints9. Primary Key,Unique key and Referential keys can be created on a View10. Named index can be created on Key Columns. Ie. we can create a index on primary key column 11. Optimizer hint First_rows is now extented with First_rows(n)12. Pl/sql tables are now named as Associative array and now can be indexed by string.13. Flashback Query14. For update statement is provided with a new option Wait.15. Index Monitoring16. Index Skip Scanning.Hope this helps
