Is it possible to handle image file in COBOL only without using any third party vendor tools?

I think it is not possible to add an image using cobol prog.

 I have read more then 10 books on cobol but i am not getting this ans.

if anyone knows , heartiest wel come.

It is very much possible to store and read images in COBOL files, using binary format. However for displaying the image, one needs to use third-party tools.
