try the host name "127.0.0.1" or otherwise find the host file in system32 in program files then in the file host u can get the address like dis wat i specified at first..

the problem is that you have no password for compurter user. better create a password for user.try once

Hi,

You need to know your computer name by right clicking on the computer icon on the desktop and then select properties. After that you will see small window, then you need to select "computer name" tab. You can able to see your computer full name, copy the computer name and try to ping it from comand prompt.
Eg.

suppose your computer name is TestMachine. Then ping TestMachine like below:--

Ping TestMachine

Then you will able to see the IPAddress of your local machine i.e. TestMachine.

For login into datastage application you should have system password. Follow the below steps in order to create the password of your system.

You need to create your system password.

Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> User Accounts.

Select the account name that you have given at the time of   XP OS installation.

After creating password, then open datastage 7.5 designer or director. then give following details:--
IP Address of testMachine
User name (Your system User Name)
Password  (Tiur system password)

I have above steps will solve your problem.
