Difference between Requirements Validation Matrix and Requirements Traceability Matrix.

Hi There,

Requirement Validation Matrix and Requirements Tracibility matrix are one and the same document used for mapping the test cases against the requirements specified in SRS.They are different jargons for the same doc.

RVM and RTM both are same, there is no difference.

Different compenies having different documents names but same process.

req.trace.matrix is mandatory to prepare at the time of sign off to the test lead.

it gives the mapping b/w requirements and defects via test cases.

Inthis doc we have coloumns: 1  req.id . 2 test case id  3 Result  4 defect id    5 status
