How can we limit the max no of rows retrieved in the report?

we can limit the maximum number of rows by setting the web page size option in the manage file tab in the report studio.

Use Run options and set the option "Rows per page"

Select the report and in the left side properties pane u can find the option Rows per page.Using this u can restrict number of rows per page
