InitSID.ora is a parameter file.But which Parameter file SPfile or Pfile?

SPFILE is the binary version of INIT.ORA file and the advantage of using the SPFILE is that there won't be any necessity to bounce the database in case if we want to change some dynamic parameter while in case of INIT.ORA the instance should be bounced to make the changes effective.

Hi Friend,

Here is simple defination
initSID.ora will tell you SID is the database name where you are going to creating a new database.

when you create database it'll take you as pfile and spfile is the system parameter file which you can convert if you required use in database.
