In short BRS is a document which explains the expected out put what exactly the client wants. This is the first document which will be refered by development team and testing team from start to end.

It contains the details of the end to end business. What are all the process they wants to implement. It could be a new feature or existing one.

In genaral this document will help to understand the clients requirements.
