There is a static method in Collection Using which u can obtain a Synchronized version of HashMap..

Map m = Collections.synchronizedMap(new HashMap(...));

It will give u a synchronized version of HashMap

Map myThreadSafeMap = Collections.synchronizedMap( new HashMap() );
