Hi,Text processing thats whats every language do but in perl we mean by heavy regex usage,the program as small and simple as possible , so a single line like print 'abhishek';will print the word, which is unlike C.And the textbook says make simple things simple without making hard things impossible,Thanks,Abhishek jain

actually it is used in automation testing....as a tester i am using per script for automation testing like running the tools etc.

When to use Perl
1. For large text processing
2. When application does lot of data manipulation
3. When you need fast development
4. For database loading operations
5. When shell scrits grow to become libraries
