Generally major IT Companies lay emphasis on academic background. B.A Degree that too with Correspondence does not seem to fit in current requirment scenario. The best bet for you is to try build your career as a freelance J2EE expert. Thanks

Knowledge of J2EE is a very vague statement. If you have read some books on J2EE then I suggest that if you are serious about a career in IT, you should "sincerely" pursue a advanced course in an institute like NIIT for a certification program. While it is true that these days most good software companies look for graduates in Computer Science/Electronics, many small to medium size companies hire professionals with MCA and such students who have done these courses. Since you have not done a graduate level engineering course, you can first take up a job in an SME(small to medium size company) , get some real experience and then move to bigger ones. Even to become a freelance J2EE expert, you would need to show some experience to attract work. I would suggest that you do the following...-Take up an advanced programming course(NIIT/Aptech/etc and do it seriously, not for the certificate only)-Start by working a couple of years in an software SME-Next step to a bigger multinational Once you are in the mainstream and doing well, it does not matter if you have done a BA or an other graduation.all the best.rgdskabir...
