Peoplesoft 8.9 came up with AAF (Active Analytics Framework), a powerful front end tool for workflow, which was absent in 8.8 crm (though 8.8 has workflow, its not that powerful) as 8.8

In generic 8.9 crm came up with navigation collections (showing menu items in a graphical way) and the ability to create pagelets from within the application which were absent in 8.8
