The profile options are available to every product in Oracle Applications. For each profile option, we give a brief overview of how Oracle Application Object Library uses the profile's setting.

1)User Level

2)Responsibility Level

3)Application Level

4)Site Level.

We define Profile Options  to make one application run. You can set all profile options prior to your implementation. Your System Adminisatrator sets user profile option at user level or the following levels

1.Site level 2. Application level 3. Responsibility level 4. User level

User Level treated as the Highest level.

Profile options are the prespecified instructions given to application to affect its behaviour. We have to set values for these profile options. The valid values for profile options is subjective but  the levels at which these values can be set are as:

1. User

2.Organization

3.Server

4.Responsibility

5.Application

6.Site

Application looks for profile option values in oreder 1->2->3->4->5->6. And as soon as it gets the value, it stops looking for other values.

I m not agree with yur last line PANKAJ. Bcoz that is not correct.

User Level profile option is the highest level. if u have set a profile option at user level then it will OVERRIDE all the above

Site, Application, & Responsibility level profile option.

And will work according to the value u have attached at User level.
