Doesn't show the windows main screen i.e with the start menu and all, so now what i do is after logging in I have to press ctrl+Alt+Del to get the task manager and then I will work on the laptop. Does anybody know the reason, I tried to repair the OS but its asking for the admin password which I forgot.How to solve this problem?

You need start the explorer.exe process.

hi,

  press f8 key to run in command prompt. In that select safe mode...it will then make u change.try it...after running in safe mode, restart it.

ur problem will be rectified now.if u have still problem,pls mail me.

Pls restart ur system go to safe mode with command prompt

then type "netuser administrator -password-"

this commond makles u to change the administrator password if possible its 90% cases i succeeded to change admin password

hi,

do only one thing that is just removed any software u newly installed or macafe antivirus and restart it.

or do system restore on previous date on that ur laptop working well through task manager

The reason is your explorer.exe is corrupted. explorer is responsible for displaying start menu and desktop.

You can confirm by seeing that there is no process running by this name in "Windows Task Manager"

1.alt+ctrl+delete.
u will get taskmanager
 
goto "newtask"
and  type "msconfig"


there  u   can  find   "system restore  console"

and  restore  the  system to the earlier(good)  state


if ur not satisfied procced the same 

and restore  to the  best configuration
