After complition of functionality testing what makes us to know whether the product is ready for performance testing or not ( not related to task distribution diagram and transaction profile document)

Functionality testing means testing the functionality of all the features that to be tested in an application or product.After functionality testing ,system integration testing can be performed.Combination of differenct components like software,hardware,networks etc is a system.System testing can be started after system integration.Performance testing is the part of system testing.By functionality testing we can find the defects in all the features of the application and after fixing those defects we can say that our software application is working fine.In the same way individual components like hardware,database,networks are all tested and integrated.In system testing any defect that occurs is not treated as a defect in the individual component,it is treated as a defect in the system.Either may be integration of the system or due to human error.If system integration is working fine,than the next step is to check the performance of the system as a whole,by creating some bottle necks.
