(B) C# is the correct choice. Visual C++.Net is a descendant of VC++ and VB.Net has roots in VB6. However, C# is designed specifically for .Net

Having been a vb4-vb6 hack, VB.NET is NOT rooted in vb6. Sure, some of the keywords are the same, but VB.NET WAS completely rewritten and designed from the ground up for .net. VB.NET is closer to C# then it is to vb6.
If that weren't the case, the converter to convert from VB6 to VB.NET either wouldn't be necessary, or would actually work.
The correct answer for this question should include both B and C.

Answer is B) and C). I have seen many peoples answer. Even thought VB.NET has roots in VB6, there has been much change in VB.NET compare to VB6. They had to redesign it again to make VB.NET a part of .NET framework from VB6. C# is also a new desinged programming language for .NET.
