I use automated testing tools for regression testing. It saves me time of repeating the tests, feeding data/retrieving data manually into/from the application under test. Also, I can ensure that no functionality is missed during testing.

Using a particular tool in your job is a real life experience of understanding the intracacies of that tool.
Before selecting any tool understand the AUT thoroughly.
Does it really needs to be automated?
Does purchasing a tool offers significant benefit to company in termsof ROI?
So proper planning must be done to use that tool in project.

I can use testing tools to conduct mainly system testing and regression testing.
Intaially i need to record the test cases with the automation tool and after that i can run the generated script to get the results of the build.
