Create a DSN in control panel using microsoft excel drivers.

uthen u can read the excel file from ODBC stage.

open the ODBC Data Source Administrator found in the controlpanel/administrative tools.

under the system DSN tab, add the Driver to Microsoft Excel.

Then u'll be able to access the XLS file from Datastage.
