we can see the R/3 buffer statistics in st02.there can see hit ratio of buffers,swaps in buffers free directory spaces and free directory entries.In the detailed analysis free space and gaps same that time we go for increase the buffer size.generally we get more swaps in programe buffers.To change the any parameter size go for transaction RZ10

If we derive a role from another existing role is called the derived role.To apply the support packeges we go for transaction SPAMTo apply the Add on and Plugins we go for transaction SAINTfor kernal upgrade first take the backup of the kernal and stop the R/3 and services after that go to service market place and download the sapexe and sapexedb files and uncar into the kernal directory after that start the services and R/3When we do the user comparision profile will assign to the user master recordssystem profiles are startup,default,instant specific profile.

SAP Down - Steps:

Reasons : Dispatcher and Msg Server

Analysis:
Dispatcher dies;
Due to port conflict :
Disable firewall and start the sap, then restart the firewall
Check for the port conflicts in the services file - sapdp
Due to database connection:
Check if the Listener is running
Chk for the owner - Default SIDF is the owner- else create it at the DB level

Disp + msg server Dies
Issue with the network shares: SAPLOG and SAPMNT - Recreate them (Under work dir)

WP dies :
This i because of the ABAP memory dump
Reduce the value of the instance system profile /sap/sys id/system profile/abap buffer size, then restart the instance

msg server starts but the disp doesn't;
Edit the entry in services file/sapdp 3600tcp

St03 -> We can check individual response time dialog update enqeue, spool, background.
