      Initialization is nothing but declaring database feilds . In initialization structure of the tables can also be imported.

Tables lfa1.

data : begin of itab occurs 2,

         matnr like mara-matnr,

         end of itab.

Initialization event will trigger before the selection screen process...

so , initialization event field values will assign before the selection screen display.
