Faster one can do 1/2 of work in one hourslower one can do 1/3 of work in one hourboth they do (1/2+1/3=5/6) th work in one hour.so work will b finished in 6/5=1.2 hour i e 1 hour 12 min.

if faster does 50% work % slower one does other 50 % work will take 2and 1/2 hours time

the shortcut for this ques is 2*3/2+3=6/5=1.2hr ans

if faster person taking 50% of work he requires 1hr and second person will do in 1.5hrs so totally 2.5hrs.please if it wrong, forgive my fault.

in 1hr, 5/6th of work is completed,then remaining is 1/6th, a& b will do work in ratio 3:2,1/10 of work is done by a,1/15 is done by b,therefore 1 hr 24min

It is a time and work problem
here
1/no of hours of fast typist+1/no of hours of slow typist=1/total no of hours

1/2+1/3=5/6
so total no of hours=6/5
=1.2
=1 hour 12 mins
