Manual & Automatic Co-relation 
Manual correlation? - Correlation is used to obtain data which are unique for each run of the script and which are generated by nested queries. 
Automatic correlation is where we set some rules for correlation. It can be application server specific. Here values are replaced by data, which are created by these rules

there are two types of co-relation 
1. Manual co-relation 
2. Automatic Co-relation

To speak more specific about the co-relation the automatic correlation is where we set some rules for correlation. It can be application server specific. Here values are replaced by data, which are created by these rules.

In manual correlation, the value we want to correlate is scanned and create correlation is used to correlate.

Hi,

I am working in loadrunner 8.1, recently i created script, for that i used HTTP/HTMl protocaol and , for that i need to do some correlation.I scanned the script for correlation using CTRL+F8 and i correlated all. then i ran the script, its workinf fine and its showing the test is Pass status. and i want to know is that enough or i need to do any manual correlation for that. I know that we can do manual correlation by comparing the script using WDIff, but here i ran the script 2 times my WDIff is not showing enable status, please tell me is there any other ways to find out the difference , and please suggest me is there any manual correlation needed in my case , and how to do that one ?

if it is passing no need the corelation.if it is showing errors like no request found like that time you need corellation.

Hi uday,

    your way of doing that manual correlation is correct but the only problem is, without  finding the dynamical values from the server we cannot correlate manually so first find dynamical value then write the function 

   You will get good result
