we can use

//* for writing the comments

and also

we can write any where after code give one space and write the comments ...

We can designate comment by

//* in JCL or by writing any where after code, after giving one space

1. prefix the comment by //*
2. use a space after writiing the parameters in the statement]
3. anything written between 73-80 coloumn is considered as a comment
