In Quality center, when you email a defect, the subject line for the email is shown as the project name + defect ID. How can we customize this subject line to be the SUMMARY of the defect? (not for each individual defect but I would like to customize the template so that I can use it for all the defect the I email)

You can always change the subject line by deleting the default subject and typing your own .

When you run a script, you find and generate a defect report. In other words, every defect report is unique to a single test script.

Hi To export the test cases from spreadsheet to TD there are 8 steps.In 6th step we need to map the Td fields with corresponding Spreadsheet columns.Hence you are the mapping so you can map according to your specifications.hope this will solve your problem if not please let me know?Noor

Hello sir/madam, In Test plan module, after we create the test cases, we divide them into test sets. On what basis do we do that? And where do we have all the testplan components like approaches to be followed, testing types to be done and test environment needed etc? In TD for QC 9.0, you can switch between two projects by select Tools>Change Projects>Select.No need to log off while working with TD for QC. This is one of the new features in QC 9.0

I think HP is not supporting QC on Vista yet. But which version of Vista you are using now? If its a home edition then it def may not work.

Every time we try to log into Test Director 8.0 SP2 we get the message: Warning the request was sent but a response was not received. Test Director re-initialized the connection with the test director server. What can I do to fix this problem?

Looks there is some problem in connecting to the server from your machine. try this ping the server from your machine. if it works restart you TD server once and see it. if still does not work enable logging from site admin and see whats happening.

I installed TestDirector 7.6 on my PC which has Windows Media Center on it. Everything was working fine for a while. Now when I try to start TD, it gives error message, "cannot connect to database, the database version is older than 7.5, please update database". It started doing this after I installed LoadRunner on the computer. I reinstalled TD, but didn't work. Can anyone please give me some suggestions.

TD 7.6 is a very old version. Check which data base you using I hope it is your MS Access. Try uninstalling LoadRunner.

QTP 8.2 may not run properly with TD 7.0 but you should still be able to save your tests suggest trying it on your own.
