Hi, I hope you are given the path of the executable file in the record and run settings.if you are given that there is no need to add .net add-in even if it the .net application. if you are not add the .net add-in it will record as window objects by default.regardssrikanth n.

When u r recording the script , click on main tab. it will show sub tab. then click on any subtab. it will record that step and record the object in object repository. Once the object is in object repository, QTP recognises it during the run.

You did not mention the QTP version that u r using.QTP 8.2 does not support IE 7.0U need to install QTP 9.0 or the latest version 9.1 which is certified with IE 7.0.
