Please let me know if QTP 9.2 supports Internet Explorer 7 browser. I have XP operating system, and IE7 on my computer and I tried to practice QTP 9.2 on my PC. It never worked for me. It always gave an error to open the web page. Please advice me.

QTP 9.2 supports IE 7 Browser. There is no doubt.You have to disable the option ENABLE TABBING. This option will be availble in Internet options of the browser.Due to that you may not able to work.Regards,VK

You would use a regular expression wherever the application name appears. Just change "window1" to "window.*", than "window" followed by anything would all work correctly.

Record in low level. Right click on OK button and insert a standard checkpoint. After inserting you can view the properties or you can view the properties in object repository.
