You can have?call sections defined in the current program or within external programs, you must first specify the program ID of the program containing the section you intend to call. The default value is (current). If you leave blank and save the AE then Current Program ID will be defaulted.

Save pre event is mainly use for checking validation and Save Post is mainly use for DML Statments like Insert and Update on the basis of validation.
