TRUNCATE is a DDL statement which can't be rolled back as there won't be any redolog generated during the trun operation and it is the fastest way of dropping big tables avoiding tons and tons of redolog generation.

Other point it will not fire any trigers so it is fast .and it releases the storage space also. where delete command slower than truncate command fires triggers

Hi Satish,Instead of creating a object what you mentioned above(x/y)*100., better to create an variable so that it will solve the problem as for as my knowledge goes.lets say1, object (x)2, object (y)create a varible naming (% of x & y)you will get the proper report.Thanks & RegardsCheers,Sandhya
