How do you estimate for database testing ?

Greetings friends,

I am looking to find examples of test cases for an MPP Appliance - basically I am looking to purchase, but must first do a proof of concept against 3 separate MPP Appliances. I am looking for some standard test criteria to use in this objective.

I have a request about adding new application at existing oracle 11gr2 database.

What questions should I raise with the vendor about there application. Please give my answer at your earliest possible time, because my management waiting for the answers.
