Ya, All about sturts is framework. It will provide some custom tag libraries. Also struts give one validator frame work for both client and server validation. We can make use of this validator framework so that it will reduce the effort of devloper to doing client validation by writing java script.

Yes. We can achieve this either using JavaScript or action mapping. If you use JavaScript, we can use the 'location.href' to go one page to other page.If you use action mapping, we can use the findForward method to go one page to other page.

As mentioned above by someone in these posts that "excadel" is one populer plug-in for using it with eclipse.And well if you are not rigid with using it with Eclipse only, I would suggest you to use it with NetBeans [say 6.9.1] and I am sure you would like it.Thanks,Vinay

Well if you don't want to follow MVC [mvc-2], struts [or anyone] doesn't stop you from doing that.If you don't do it, then you will loose the benifits that come along with the mvc architecture.Thanks,Vinay
