By extension if you mean reusing the code ..JSP is but Servlet cannot be..Only we can include or pass the control to another Servlet back and forth but we cannot re use it like custon tags....

Yes, JSP is extensible, because we can use custom tag, that are user defined custom tag.

By implementing single thread model we can make thread safe .Due to this it will create one instance per thread or request

Servlets by default are not thread safe...But we need to take many steps to make them thread safe...like using synchronized blocks,varaibles...etc...

First whenever u save your jsp file it will recompile at that time it will create a servlet file .so whenever ur saving a jsp file the jsp engine will create a servlet file.

In Oracle table some fields are "null".By default it will show as "null" in JSP page text box.But i dont want that. I want as blank textbox.What i can do for that?

You can use the wasNull() method of ResultSet to find if the column read in the table has a NULL and then set the bean value as you want.

One way is to use NVL(fieldName, ' ') in the SQL Query and the other one is to use ?: operator in java/jsp/servlet while get value from Resultset i.e. (fieldName == null)? " " : fieldName;
