Yes ...we need to use isIdentical() for Local Intefaces.equals() compares two objects on the same heap, whereas isIdentical() compares two remote objects.The results of equals() and isIdentical() is different for local interfaces.

Roles and responsiblities between to interfaces are diffrent.Home interface is your way to communicate with container , who is responsible to creating ,locating even removing one or more beansRemote interface that will allow you to remotely access to all its methods and members.

You don't even need to do that. you can use the URL object from an EJB, to invoke a servlet...IMHO.kaushal.

Yes you can make a servlet as a client and access the EJB. You have to create a WEB-INF folder and in that folder create a classes folder and complie and keep all your class files and depoly.

Hi,Was just reading about EJB 3.0. I suppose with EJB 3.0, Home interface is absolutely gone and implementing Business Interface is not mandatory. All enterprise beans in EJB 3.0 are just POJO (Plain Old Java Object) with appropriate annotations.Sejal
