If you see datastage job commits each record in general cases. but you can force the datastage to take a set of records and then commit them.In case of Oracle stage in  Trasaction Handling Tab you can set the number of rows per transaction. HTH.Raghu Mule

Yes, its like a disadvantage of staging area, it takes more space in database and it may not be cost effective for client.
