You have to install Windows 2003 Server enterprise edition with SP2 or more and .Net framework for Datastage PX or Unix OS. If you have installed on Win XP it wont work properly. For Datastage TX you can install on Windows XP

Create a shell script like stg.sh and declare needed parameters for source and schema and target in run_dsjob program. Remember the parameters you used for script should be declared at source and target and give all parameters and job name all as parameters to run_dsjob.

Default cache size is 256 MB. We can incraese it by going into Datastage Administrator and selecting the Tunable Tab and specify the cache size over there.

The default cache size is 128 MB. This is primarily used for hash file data cache in the server.  This setting is only can be done in Administrator not in job level. Job level tuning is available only for Buffer Size.

Default size is 128mb and we can change cache size in job properties for particular job and by going to tunables in Administrator for all the jobs across project.
