Quality stage is a data integration tool from ascential which is used to stadardize/integrate the data from different sources.

How would call an external Java function which are not supported by DataStage?
Starting from DS 6.0 we have the ability to call external Java functions using a Java package from Ascential. In this case we can even use the command line to invoke the Java function and write the return values from the Java program (if any) and use that files as a source in DataStage job.

Use the Java PACK. Java Pack has Java Client and Java Transformer Stages. YOu can write your own class and call it from either from Client or Transformer stages.

NEED HELP1) I can not get into DataStage Administrator after trying a lot. I give the Host Name or Name of my computer, and I did not give the User Name & Password then I get the error like thisFailed to connect to host: ishaq, project: UV(The host name specified is not valid, or the host is not responding (81011))2)When I give the Host Name User Name & Password then I get the error like this Failed to connect to host: ishaq, project: UV(The host name specified is not valid, or the host is not responding (81011))To solve this problems, I Installed the DataStage 7.5.1, atleast seven times, after this all still I did not get enter into the DataStage Administrator then I format the System, and Re Installed every thing once again from the beginning, then again Installed the DataStage, still I have the same problem, I can not get enter into the DataStage Administrator till now.I am sure, I have Windows XP SP2 Installed on P4 System

Apart from ensuring that telenet service is running and the option of bypassing,do also make sure that the datastage services(both) are running in services....pretty much the same solution as the firs...

There is an option called Bypass......If you select this option.Your problem will be resolved.

You can also use a Universe stage if the data is need in your job. I don't recall all details when I used this but I think there is an option when creating the hash file to make it Universe compatable or something like that. Then you can use it in a universe stage and do any query you like on it.

Shiva is right and he suggested with a great example. You can perform this logic by taking transformer and hashfile stage in server job and if you want to perform scd in parellel then you will have to use change capture and change apply stage.
