It seems you are asking about resuming the job sequence from failure point if it is aborted.In order to do so,open the sequence.Now go to "job properties" and check the checkbox "Add checkpoints so sequence is restartable on failure."

First sort the data on Marks column using sort stage then use transformer stage.In constraints use system variable @INROWNUM (@INROWNUM<=3).In this way you can get top 3 marks.

Also find out the PID number from datastage director in cleanup resources link and go to the UNIX server and kill PID number. This way you can easily kill the process and it gets unlocked.

DataStage job scheduling we can do using datastage director client tool, but in real time they use UNIX for DataStage job scheduling which supports 3rd party scheduling tools like Autosys, Triviam, UNIX corn tab etc.

You can create job sequencer using designer client, if you click create new job like server or px job in Datastage, it will get open window there you can find to create the job sequencer.Job sequencer uses to run multiple jobs either server or px based on the dependencies.
