We know that Alias never effects if the parent updates where as Reference will. My question is if suppose I took an Alias shortcut for a Query Subject and linking that with parent and if I took a Reference from that query subject what will be the difference for those in performance.

You can create advanced conditional style having below expression :
mod(row number,2)=0 then you can assign first colour
mod(row number,2)=1 then assign second colour.
by this you will get alternate colours for object.

We cant convert crosstab to list but reverse is possible by using pivot table function

Cascading prompt is the answer for your question. We use cascading when we need to load data in one prompt based on the other. So in the above scenario Country is the first prompt and Product Line is dependent on Country.
